Why equal cup sizes can contain different amounts
Filter coffee and espresso-based drinks use different preparations. Milk or added water changes the volume without identifying how much coffee was extracted. These recorded filter and latte figures differ by 91 mg, but that arithmetic doesn’t predict every current recipe.
Does milk remove caffeine?
Adding ordinary milk doesn’t remove caffeine already extracted into a drink. In the reported comparison, Americano and latte have the same caffeine total despite their different ingredients. Ask about the recipe when ordering a different size or extra shots.
