Coffee mixing ratio

Half-caf coffee calculator

Calculate a repeatable starting ratio using the caffeine values for your own full-caf and lower-caffeine coffees. “Half-caf” does not always mean exactly half the caffeine.

Enter comparable serving values

Use values for comparable prepared servings. You can look up a documented starting point in the caffeine database, but your current label is the best reference for a packaged product.

Why the result may not be exactly half

A 50:50 blend sits halfway between the two caffeine values you enter. If the lower-caffeine coffee still contains caffeine, the result will be slightly above half of the full-caf value. The target-based calculator makes that difference visible.

Mix a batch thoroughly, keep the scoop and brewing method consistent, and treat the result as an estimate rather than a laboratory measurement.
